Wilderness got to use his hatchet and built us a nice fire before it frosted. He is such a handy guy.

The day got better from there thanks to the assignment from Glenda Williams. We spent the morning on a horse trail up and down a mountain and by the river. It was gorgeous although the resulting "saddle soreness" will have to be tolerated.

After lunch we did some whitewater rafting on the Gallatin River. Very fun, plus we look good in our splash jackets and booties (which I am totally grateful for because I am a little tired of being chilled in August and it is in the low 70s with icy mountain water). Once again, always looking for the bright side, the cold water numbed my hind end so I stopped noticing my earlier issue.

This evening we have made our way back to quasi-civilization; yep a campground with a hot shower. I took one tonight and plan another for the morning just to catch up. We are just outside Helena and our on our second Montana mission given to us by Louanne Danner and Gene Toner. We have a route that is showing us some great highlights of Montana and leading us to Glacier National Park.
That Super 8 I have booked for us just east of Glacier tomorrow evening is going to seem like luxury digs :)
