We took time poolside this morning for awhile, then loaded up and moved on. As we passed Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam, we came across mountain goats in the highway ditch! Funny; we've been to plenty of mountains over the past few weeks and I have to wait to see mountain goats by the Las Vegas highway.

The drive to Phoenix was scenic but scorching. The temperature reached 111 at some point and we had to turn the AC off for a short time to make sure the truck didn't overheat as we climbed. Dry heat or not, that wind blows HOT! I understand Phoenix has had the hottest summer on record. Just our luck....

We are completing our two Arizona missions in the next two days. This first one was assigned by my Mom. We were to locate and spend time with my long lost little brother. Tim isn't really lost but he moved out here 25 years ago and seldom makes it back to Missouri. Great evening. We swam, barbecued, laughed, and will be sleeping in air conditioning instead of a tent with heat still in the triple digits!

Tomorrow, after some more sibling time we will be heading north to the Sedona area for mission two provided by David and Bobbi Baysinger. Funny that temps in the 90s all of the sudden seems like a cool down.
